HOPE in Pink is a celebration of strength, resilience and the power of community.
The high tea fundraiser at the PA Hotel in Booval this Saturday promises a capacity crowd of 250 people who will honour breast cancer survivors, support those battling the disease, and remember loved ones lost.
“The support for our event has been massive – this is my first time organising something like this and I have been blown away by everyone’s generosity,” event organiser Fiorrella Miles said.
“I can’t even explain how appreciative I am.”
Raffle prizes include boat motors, $1,500 Garmin watches, gift cards, food vouchers and a photo sitting worth $1,100.
A photographer will be present to capture special moments during the day packed with surprises.
Even the men will dye their hair pink for the good cause.
“Some of the men were a bit worried about dying their hair and beards shocking pink because afterwards they will have to go to work or attend functions like weddings,” Fiorrella said.
She said it was important to shed light on men’s journeys with breast cancer.
“Not only do men can get breast cancer, but they suffer in silence when the women in their lives are diagnosed with the disease,” she said.
