Crime Watch: Teens arrested, construction tools haul

POLICE have charged several teenagers with 73 offences after a spate of break-ins across Ipswich on March 16.
Police have alleged five teenagers broke into a Farley Street address in Boonah and stole a 2011 Toyota Prado while, later, at around 4.30am, the teens allegedly broke into a Hudson Street address at Kalbar and took a white Nissan Qashqai.
Between 9pm and 10.40pm, the group was allegedly involved in the unlawful entry and thefts from a vehicle at Mt Alford, two vehicles at Dugandan and a vehicle at Boonah.
At 11pm, police have claimed the group then drove to an aged care facility on Harold Stark Avenue at Boonah where a male broke into a vehicle, before assaulting a female employee who confronted him.
The 40-year-old woman sustained minor injuries.
Just after midnight, police found the Toyota Prado abandoned at Raceview.
They then located the stolen Nissan Qashqai at a shopping centre on Raceview Street, with the five alleged occupants running from the vehicle on foot.
Four teenagers were arrested and a 16-year-old Tarragindi girl was charged with 15 offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary, assault, enter premises and commit indictable offence, robbery in company and receiving tainted property.
She is due to appear in the Ipswich Children’s Court on May 6.
A 13-year-old Bellbird Park boy has been charged with 19 offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary, enter with intent, assault, robbery in company and receiving tainted property.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Ipswich Children’s Court on May 6.
A 13-year-old Gailes boy has been charged with 15 offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, attempted robbery and receiving tainted property.
He is due to appear in the Ipswich Children’s Court on March 24.
A 14-year-old Sunnybank boy has been charged with 24 offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, assault, and attempted robbery.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Ipswich Children’s Court on May 6.
Investigations remain ongoing.

Tradies tools discovered
DETECTIVES have charged a man with multiple property crime offences and recovered more than $100,000 in allegedly stolen construction tools.
Between mid-February to mid-March, police have said vehicles and power tools were stolen from addresses in Darra, Richlands, Inala, Pallara, Geebung, Forest Lake, Doolandella, Ellen Grove and Ipswich.
Police searched a Sandpiper Street address at Inala on March 15 and found a a 31-year-old Inala man sleeping inside a BMW.
Officers awoke the man and took him into custody before searching the property where they found alleged stolen hand and power tools and an Isuzu truck allegedly stolen from Geebung last month.
A 31-year-old Inala man has been charged with multiple offences including 19 counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, six counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, five counts of enter premises with intent, three counts of stealing, two counts each of receive tainted property and driving with a disqualified licence, and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle and possessing dangerous drugs.
The man was remanded in custody to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court on May 14.
Investigations are ongoing.
