Community consultation open on Ripley satellite hospital

Community consultation is underway as construction begins early next year on Ipswich’s $40 million satellite hospital.  

While the facility won’t provide an emergency department or overnight beds, Bundamba MP Lance McCallum said it would bring with it other community health services. 

“Like renal dialysis, chemotherapy, complex wound management and urgent care for minor injury and illness,” he said. 

Residents are now being asked to have their say, with Queensland Health noting each satellite hospital project would be tailored to the community in which it is located.
