A CELEBRATED artist says residents must contest plans to bulldoze almost 160ha of native bush habitat at Springfield for 2,000 homes.
Developer Stockland has submitted a development application for Village 2 and 3 at the Springview Estate, at 7001 Mur Boulevard, 7006 Panorama Drive, and 1 Telopea Way.
The proposal seeks approval to subdivide one lot for 1,839 homes.
Village 2 would have 856 residential lots, and a childcare centre while Village 3 is lined up for 983 residential lots and a local sports/recreational centre.

Kalina Village 1 now has many of its 445 homes built.
