THE Rosewood Seniors group enjoyed a wonderful end of year celebration at the Grandchester Hotel, last week.
The Christmas party was organised by group member Noela Blake, who reported that they enjoyed a delicious feast.
“It was a wonderful celebration of how our group has grown over the last year,” said Denise Strong, a Rosewood and District Community Support volunteer who helps co-ordinate the social coffee catches ups in between the monthly meetings.
“Many of the group look forward to our gatherings and we are all looking forward to continuing them in the New Year.”
The Christmas party was another networking opportunity for group members. Noela made and crafted an array of gifts and Christmas bingo was another highlight.
“It has been wonderful watching the members of this group develop into the group we have today,” said Community Project Worker, Tia Lancaster.
“The purpose of the group is to connect seniors with activities and social connections to help reduce isolation and improve seniors' connection to community.”
