FOLLOWING the swearing in ceremony, newly elected Ipswich City councillor, David Martin said he was excited to hold the office of councillor, again.
And he would be advocating for unity in council.
“I want to see unity in council, all of us on the same page, and working towards the best outcomes for our great city.”
Cr Martin was formerly elected to council in October 2017 when a by-election was needed after then-Division 7 Councillor Andrew Antoniolli was elected Mayor of Ipswich.
Current Mayor, Teresa Harding said she looked forward to Cr Martin taking up his role as Division 4 councillor.
Division 4 is represented by two councillors and with the resignation of David Cullen and the subsequent by-election, the area is represented by Cr Martin and Cr Jim Madden.
Cr Martin said he was looking forward to his first round of committee meetings.
