Australian beef kicking export goals
1 min read

AUSSIE Beef has made major inroads into the US market with restaurant chain Sweetgreen, incorporating it across its 200 plus stores

JBS Aussie Beef has a number of beef brands under its banner.

It’s also the largest meat and food processor in Australia and has a large portfolio of beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value added products.

The move into Sweetgreen is described as it aligning with the chain’s mission to offer ‘high quality, ethically sourced food’.

Aussie Beef will be on the chain’s new menu items in a variety of salads and bowls designed to enhance the beef’s natural, rich flavours.

Meat and Livestock Australia consider the move a significant milestone because it opens a new market while reinforcing global recognition of Aussie Beef as a premium, sustainable product.

The collaboration is expected to drive demand, boost the red meat industry and make new growth opportunities.

Aussie Beef is also making headway in the Korean retail market thanks in part to labelling laws.

Korea’s country of origin labelling laws are designed to inform consumers about the origin of products, particularly food items.

These laws have helped push on pack Aussie Beef branding at retail level to help customers differentiate the products of origin when on shelves.

The strategic use of over 1.6 million Aussie Beef branded stickers, produced and distributed by the MLA Korea office annually reinforces the connection between Australian beef and its ‘clean and safe’ image in consumers minds.
