WARNINGS are plentiful in anticipation of this year’s bushfire season so when a Rosewood town resident saw a red glow out in the country area last week she was quick to make contact.

Photographer, Lyle Radford, picked up his camera, followed the glow out towards the Mt Forbes – Willowbank area and captured these stunning images.

Fortunately, the glow was coming from a controlled burn out Mt Forbes way where a landholder was taking advantage of the rain forecast and had gained a permit to rid his paddocks of long, dry grass before it became a potential bushfire hazard.
