THE Rosewood Toastmasters have announced that Trevor Halter was chosen by members as the Communicator of the Year.
When Trevor was told he had been selected for the local club’s highest award, his immediate response was: “No no, I do not to the work I do for accolades.”
However, as Trevor was considered a very deserving member of the Rosewood community, his name was entered as the 2024 winner.
“Trevor is a member of the Rosewood Lions Club,” says Toastmaster Janet Spresser.
“He looks after the Lion’s Op Shop.
“He helps sort the clothes and other donated items.
“When all the items are sorted, he loads up his ute and takes the goods down to the storage shed to unload.”
Trevor is also a member of the Rosewood Men’s Workshop.
“This is where he helps do community projects and individual projects that are asked of the men,” Janet said.
“He is also a person that people in the community call on when they need a hand with something or just to have a chat.
“Trevor has given so much to the community of Rosewood. We thank him for his unstinting generosity.”
