Introducing the Rosewood State High School 2023 Leaders

ROSEWOOD State High School recently held the ceremony to induct the school leaders into their official positions.

Senior School Deputy Principal Michelle Pryor-Ball joined School Principal Nicole Sherlock to present the school captain and senior leaders with their badges.

The parents and carers of each student were then welcomed to acknowledge their children’s achievement by presenting them with their badge.

Junior School Deputy Principal Darren Lovey, presented the junior leaders with their badges and said it was a pleasure to work with the junior school captains.

“Working with the students is a refreshing and insightful experience and I look forward to working with them throughout the year,” he said.

The Student Representative Council which consists of a group of students who volunteer their time to discuss concerns and issues on behalf of the student body, were also inducted into their roles.

Head of Department for senior schooling Anne Artesi, presented the students with their badges and said the office bearers were appointed to ensure the smooth running of the student council.

“The [Council] share ideas for the ongoing well being of all students and they also raise awareness and much needed funds for charities in the wider community,” she said.

School Captain Levi Hartigan then delivered a vote of thanks as he congratulated the year 12 cohort and all of the badge recipients.

“I am confident these students will uphold the values of the school and continue to build on and promote the positive school culture that we are recognised for today,” he said.
