The Marburg and Districts Residents Association has been nominated for the Community Group of the Year Award through Ipswich City Councils Australia Day Awards.
THE Marburg and Districts Residents Association is one of the nominees in the Community Group of the Year category in the Ipswich City Council’s Australia Day Awards.
The group was nominated “for engaging constantly with the community through many diverse activities, such as the Marburg Anzac Day and Remembrance Days services, the annual Marburg Black Snake Creek Festival and other community events it hosts every year”.
Other nominees in the category are Arts Connect Ipswich, Ipswich Foodbarn and the Ipswich Men’s Shed.
The winners in each category were announced yesterday after this edition’s deadline.
