FIFTEEN new residential allotments will be developed in Marburg if the Ipswich City Council gives the go ahead to a subdivision off Frederick Street.
Town Planning agents for the developer, Curtis Winward, are hoping to gain a development permit to subdivide a 5.9ha property at 20 Frederick Street.
The proposal is to cut the greenfield block into 15 residential allotments ranging in size from 2,526sqm to 3,007sqm. An additional allotment will be formed for use as a bio-retention basin.
The land falls within the ‘Township Residential’ zone which makes the subdivision ‘code assessible’, which means the developer does not need to publicly advertise the proposal.
As part of the subdivision, if it is approved, the developer will be responsible for the formation of an extension of Frederick Street and a new internal road to service the allotments.
The application is currently being reviewed by the Council’s Town Planning officers.
