CHRISTINE Forrest has been nominated for the 2023 Rosewood Lions Citizen of the Year Award for her volunteer work with the Rosewood Lions for more than 30 years and for her endeavours as a member of the Rosewood Women’s Group.

Christine was the first female Lion member and female President of the Rosewood Lions.

Her dedication, motivation and enthusiasm for the Club and the community has been described as outstanding.

Within the Lions, Christine’s involvement includes the Lions Youth of the Year, the Lions Christmas street carnivals, the Lions opportunity shop, Cabanda Care, Blue Care, Hearing Dogs and she has organised many donations to local school children, families and local organisations.

As a member of the Lions Board, Christine has held the position of President for three terms and the position of Secretary for ten terms, and she has also served as a District Chairman and a Zone Chairman.

Within the Rosewood Women’s Group, Christine is always there to lend a hand and to assist others in any way possible. She has been described as a valued member of this group.
