Ripley school student heading to national BMX titles

A YEAR 9 Ripley Valley State Secondary College student placed third in the Queensland BMX titles during the school holidays. 

Kaylan Harris, 15, became involved in the sport BMX at a young age. 

“We started Kaylan in BMX when he was five years old,” said his father, Darren. 

As Darren is a fire fighter in the RAAF and his wife, Sue-Ellen is a chef in the RAAF, the Harris family have moved around a lot and were posted to the Northern Territory after Kaylan first found his enthusiasm for the sport.
