IT’S my pleasure to be joining the Ipswich Tribune and Fassifern Guardian to bring you your weekly look into the upcoming films showing at your local cinema.
To introduce myself, I have been in cinemas for 11 years, and have a fiery passion for all things cinemas and providing a movie experience for guests to sit back, to laugh, cry, or celebrate in front of the big screen.
Polite Society

Take some sisterly affection, parental disappointment and bold action, and you have Polite Society. From the team at Focus Features, this film brings punch throwing and high kicks with a bad ass female duo. Throwing the etiquette book out the window, they deliver an epic fun filled film that brings together the wryness of a British flick and the brilliance of Bollywood. Rated 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, this is one to get your besties together for a girls’ night out.

You could not get a more iconic cast of fabulous ladies if you tried – starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno and Sally Field, you don’t have to be a Tom Brady fan to enjoy this one. Inspired by the true story of four best friends living life to the fullest when they take a wild trip to the 2017 Super Bowl to see their hero Tom Brady play. You can only imagine the mischief that ensues, plus be sure to keep an eye out for some familiar cameos.
Evil Dead Rise

I can’t say I’ve ever been a strong horror fan, but my resident horror fanatics are absolutely loving this movie. Offering lifelong fans of the franchise a twisted and turning reboot and as much blood as possible on the big screen, you’ll be in for chilling, brutal and merciless experience.
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Limelight Cinemas Ipswich will also be hosting special screenings to treat Mum at the movies. The Book Club 2 is released May 11, right in time for a High Tea on Mother’s Day plus the team at Sony have given us a very special sneak peek at John Farnham: Finding The Voice with screenings kicking off from 6.30pm.
