AN EXPLOSION of colour was enjoyed by the Haigslea State School community in a Fun Run organised by the school and the Parents and Citizens Association.
Principal Andrew Sellick said the students raised almost $5,000 towards building a new sandpit and making improvements to the school.
“The students ran an exciting obstacle course while parents provided the colour and water,” he said.
“A sprinkler and tent were also set up to give everyone who joined in a good cooling off as they leapt over hay bales and ducked and weaved their way around the course.
“It was a great event that was followed with a disco and it was fantastic to see our P&C able to run these events, as we top off a great year of fundraising for our school.”
