Fellowship during Seniors Week
1 min read

SENIOR’S Month was celebrated in Rosewood at the Showgrounds Hall last week.

The event was held to acknowledge the senior members of the community and included lunch and some informative talks.

Rosewood resident Heather Bottrell who has been an active member of the community through volunteer work at the Rosewood Uniting Church Opportunity Shop and other events and organisations in the area, said that connecting with her friends is very important to her.

“I really enjoy a chat, and have many friends in the Rosewood community,” she said.

“Connecting with others and the community is very important to me, and that is why I have enjoyed volunteering and helping others over the many years that I have lived in Rosewood.

“Whether it be attending an event, having a chat with the neighbours, volunteering for the church or simply walking through the main street talking to people, I really feel good when I can connect with others.”

With an aim to keep seniors connected, Senior’s Month emphasises the importance of keeping active and promoting positive connections.
