On August 17, in a vibrant display of unity and support, the students of Haigslea State School came together to rally behind the Matildas.
Haigslea State School Principal Emily Robinson said whilst donning the iconic green and gold colours, students demonstrated their unwavering commitment to championing female athletes whilst showcasing their solidarity with a team that has captured the hearts of the nation.
“By encouraging students to support women's sports, we are not only instilling the values of teamwork and sportsmanship, but we are also paving the way for a future generation of advocates for gender equality,” she said.
“We believe in fostering an environment where our students learn to appreciate and celebrate the achievements of women in sports and this initiative showcases their passion for creating a more equitable world.”
