THE Haigslea State School community are sharing the Christmas spirit by rallying together to gather presents for disadvantaged children.
Presents were collected from the students and their families and were donated to the Salvation Army which will then share them with families in need.
Principal Andrew Sellick said the project was a partnership between the school community, the school families and the Salvation Army.
“As a school we could not have done this without the support of our school Chaplain Mike McMillan who was instrumental in driving the initiative,” he said.
“At a school parade last Thursday, Salvation Army representative Ashleigh joined us to receive the donated gifts from the school, and the whole school community felt great to be able to help others during the festive season.”
