2023: Rosewood Lions have continued their support for Cabanda since its inception. In 2023, Lions President Bernie Newell presented Cabanda Care General Manager Robin Christleow with a $50,000 cheque to help fund a new bus.

LIONS Club of Rosewood has been part of our community for the past 50 years and will be celebrating this milestone on Saturday, May 17 at the Rosewood Bowls Club.
As members of the Lions family, we welcome past members and community members who have spent time with us supporting our growing community.
During the past 50 years the Lions family has supported many community groups, individuals and community events to make Rosewood and community prosperous and a place to feel welcome.
One of the earliest major injections of cash into the community was Lions International supporting the original Cabanda group with a large donation to allow the organisation to raise the initial amount to allow for Cabanda to go forward.
We are proud to support the most vulnerable, children who for no fault have been dealt a hand requiring numerous doctors and hospital visits.
As the result of an afternoon of bagging tennis courts or putting on a community auction, it has been worthwhile to know that a young citizen can have an opportunity to lead a better quality of life.
Like all community clubs, we also hold a monthly sausage sizzle in the main street of Rosewood and these funds are directed back into community projects and groups and people in need.
We would like to reach out to all past members who have been members of our club to share their memories with us on Saturday 17 May at the Rosewood Bowls Club at Mill Street Rosewood. Please refer to our advert for further details.
We look forward to getting together to reminisce the 50 years and look forward to another 50 years.
