Marburg locals raise $1,900 for the Cancer Council

FLORAL-themed decorations greeted families as they entered the Marburg Green Shed Community Centre to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

The morning was organised by the Marburg and District Residents Association and as member Wendye Gratton reported, it met with success as $1,900 was raised.

“This year the group decided that the theme would be floral and the interior of the Green Shed was decorated with colourful artworks and decorations that were created by the local art group,” she said.

“Students from Marburg State School attended the morning and assisted with serving refreshments alongside their school Principal Russell Napier.

“Appreciation for their help was expressed and it was wonderful to see the effort put in by the community to make the morning so enjoyable.”
