THOUSANDS flowed through the gates, the entertainment went without a hitch and in the words of President Paddy Lenihan “the Rosewood Show keeps getting bigger and better every year”.
“It’s a real credit to our small, hardworking committee that the crowd was engaged all the way through Friday and Saturday, including the night programs,” he said.
“The weather, the crowd and the entertainment all came together.”
Asked what were the standout moments, Paddy’s reply was that the “whole thing was a standout, everything went as we had hoped and some things went even better”.
He paid credit to Cassie Seppanon and her helpers who arranged the entertainment line up.
“Two days and two night programs … it means piecing together so many moving parts … they did a great job.”
Paddy was equally full of praise for every committee member and to all the other people who stepped in to help and “just got the job done, wherever the job needed to be done, I can’t thank them enough.”
Those who stepped in included the local SES members who helped the committee set up and pack down and the St Brigid’s Catholic Church members who manned the gate.
“Our special thanks to everyone involved from our sponsors to our volunteers and to everyone who came through the gate to support our Show,” Paddy said.
Planning for the 2025 Rosewood Show has already begun with the committee planning to continue the upward trend of “bigger and better every year”.
