A LOCAL man is thinking of buying a new car after winning $1 million in a Weekday Windfall draw.
The Rosewood resident held one of the two division one winning entries in draw 4471, which was drawn on Wednesday, November 20.
“Thank you so much,” he said to an official from The Lott.
“I just went down to the [Rosewood] newsagency to see if the winning news was true, and it’s true!
“I gave the newsagency owner a big hug. I’ve been visiting their store for about six months now.
“Times have been pretty tough, so this couldn’t have come at a better time.
“It feels pretty good.
“I’ve wanted to buy a new car, but now I’ll be able to buy an even better one!”
He purchased the ticket at the Rosewood Newsagency.
Newsagency owner Amy Wang said she was thrilled and proud when she found out her store had sold the winning ticket.
“It’s not only a great achievement for our store but also a wonderful gift for our community. We’ll put up celebratory signs in the store and share the exciting news with our customers,” she said.
“I believe our customers will feel very excited and inspired! It’s a wonderful surprise just before Christmas, and it might make people even more hopeful and enthusiastic about trying their luck.”
